The
Florida State Association of The National League of
American Pen Women, Inc. (FSA/NLAPW) is a nonprofit
umbrella organization that provides support to
ALL Florida Pen Women. We are comprised of professional artists,
professional writers and
musical composers who are members of one of the 21 branches in
Florida or are Members-at-Large within our fine
state. By
conducting and promoting creative, educational, and
charitable activities, FSA assists its branches in
achieving their goals of community outreach and
increased membership.

FSA
is governed by a council of elected and appointed
officers, committee chairs, and sitting presidents of NLAPW branches in Florida, and past FSA presidents
who remain active members. The FSA Council meets
quarterly. It organizes traveling outreach programs,
hosts biennial conferences in the fall of
odd-numbered years, sponsors art, letters, and music
competitions for members, and publishes The Palm,
its official newsletter.
What Are
Pen Women?
Pen Women
look like other women,
But we
are not like other women.
We are
women who express ourselves
through
one or more of the three Creatives:
Music,
Art and Letters.
Our
Creative Expression Is more
than a pastime;
It is a
profession for which we have
been monetarily recognized.

A wise old owl sat on
an oak;
The more he saw the
less he spoke;
The less he spoke the
more he heard;
Why aren't we like
that wise old bird?
